For many women, discussing fertility challenges can feel like opening Pandora’s box, but not for model and actress Molly Sims. This mother of three isn't shy about her journey, and she sat down with Closer Weekly at the MitoQ Launch event at Catch NYC on Wednesday to spill the tea about her decision to go public with her personal experience.
Why Molly Sims Believes It's Time to Talk About Fertility Struggles
“I think society is becoming more open about this, but the openness comes from people like me being willing to talk about it. It's not an easy road, and so much of it happens behind closed doors," Molly said. "In today's world, it truly takes a village to raise a child, but it also takes a village just to have one. There are so many factors involved, and I believe sharing experiences can make all the difference.”

Breaking the Stigma Around Fertility Struggles
She elaborated, “It’s absolutely crucial to be there for women going through this. I’ve done my homework, worked with some incredible doctors, and learned so much along the way. I wanted to share that knowledge and not let it stay hidden as some sort of dirty little secret. We need to normalize these conversations and support each other through them.”

Molly's Journey to Motherhood
Molly Sims tied the knot with Scott Stuber in 2011, and they now have three beautiful children: five-year-old Brooks, two-year-old Scarlett, and seven-month-old Grey. Before marriage, she took the proactive step of freezing her eggs. Even with that safety net, she still faced challenges, trying IVF twice before conceiving Scarlett naturally.

Molly's Personal Journey to Motherhood
“Honestly, I got pregnant on my honeymoon! I think having that safety net from freezing my eggs gave me the peace of mind to relax and let things happen naturally,” she revealed in a video on her YouTube channel. She added, “We tried IVF twice for Scarlett. I was about to do another round, and boom, there she was. It was an incredible surprise.”
