Let’s talk about Meghan Markle for a moment. She’s a stunning woman, and everyone knows she’s stepping into a real-life fairytale by marrying Prince Harry. But here’s the twist: not everyone in the royal family is thrilled about it. In fact, some members are less than enthusiastic. According to palace insiders speaking to Woman’s Day, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie aren’t exactly jumping for joy. They’re reportedly furious that Queen Elizabeth has been so accepting of Harry’s relationship with Meghan. If you think back to when Kate Middleton married Prince William in 2011, these princesses weren’t big fans of her either. Now, they’re setting their sights on bringing down Meghan, who’s 36 years old.

“Beatrice and Eugenie have a reputation for being snobby, and they’re definitely spoiled by their father, Prince Andrew,” says a royal insider. “He’s constantly complaining to the Queen that his daughters have been pushed aside to make room for Prince Charles and his sons, along with their partners. Now, they feel like they’re being overshadowed once again, and they’re not happy about it.”

This Isn’t the First Time They’ve Felt This Way

“This isn’t a new attitude from Beatrice and Eugenie. They’ve been feeling this way for a while now, and they’re directing their frustrations toward Meghan. They didn’t like Kate Middleton because they saw her as common, but that’s nothing compared to how they feel about Harry marrying an American actress. They’re openly criticizing Queen Elizabeth, saying she’s letting the family’s reputation slip by allowing this marriage to happen.”

Another palace source added, “There’s a lot of jealousy coming from Eugenie because she was best friends with Harry’s ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, and she was the one who introduced them. Eugenie would have loved to see them end up together.”

Their Rejection of Meghan

“Beatrice and Eugenie aren’t planning to welcome Meghan with open arms, and it’s really unfortunate. If they took the time to get to know her, they might actually like her. But they’re determined to make her feel excluded and refuse to engage with her,” continued the source. “They’re also upset because they feel like they’re constantly being overlooked when it comes to their own love lives.”

Eugenie has been waiting anxiously for her boyfriend of six years, Jack Brooksbank, to propose. Meanwhile, Beatrice was heartbroken in late 2016 when her 10-year relationship with Dave Clarke ended, only for him to get engaged to a U.S. advertising executive six months later. It’s clear they’re feeling left out, and their frustration is spilling over into their feelings about Meghan.

Kate Middleton: A True Ally

Thankfully, Meghan has the full support of Harry’s brother, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, who’s 35. Kate herself has faced similar treatment from Beatrice and Eugenie in the past, so she understands what Meghan’s going through. “Kate has learned how the palace works and has taken Meghan under her wing,” a royal source explained. “She knows exactly what it’s like to be on the receiving end of Beatrice and Eugenie’s disapproval.”

Another source chimed in, “Kate couldn’t have been more welcoming to Meghan and is probably glad to have a new friend at the palace. She’s advising Meghan to ignore Beatrice and Eugenie’s negativity, and it seems Meghan is following that advice. They’re going to be family soon, and the future sisters-in-law plan to stick together.”
