A source told E! that her work on Suits ran a day longer than planned, which caused her to miss Serena Williams’ wedding in New Orleans. “Meghan was supposed to wrap by Wednesday, but for some reason, she had to work Thursday morning in Toronto. That’s why she didn’t make it to Serena’s big day,” the insider shared.

While Meghan was spotted earlier this week in a bridal gown for a wedding scene on Suits, rumors are swirling about her imminent departure from the show. The speculation seemed to gain momentum when Nicky Bursic, Meghan’s body double on the series, posted an emotional farewell message on Instagram. Nicky wrote, “It’s been an absolute pleasure and honor being your ‘STAND-IN’ for the last two years @meghanmarkle. Though I’ve been on @suitsusa for six years, the latter two have been the most memorable. Wishing you all the happiness in the world Bella.”

For a while now, there have been whispers that Meghan plans to step away from her acting career as she gears up for royal life. Last month, Grazia reported that the soon-to-be royal is house-hunting near Kensington Palace. She’s looking for a London base where she can focus on her philanthropic work and charity efforts.

“She’s committed to her role with World Vision Canada, but she’s eager to expand her global impact,” a source revealed. “Meghan and Harry have discussed it. She’s searching for a place in London where she can manage her charity work and continue making a difference in the world.”
