Breaking into a Star’s Dream: The Unsettling Incident
This is the stuff nightmares are made of. Imagine this: Academy Award-winning actress Viola Davis and her husband, Julius Tennon, are sound asleep in their Los Angeles home when they’re abruptly awakened by an eerie sound. According to TMZ, it was the shattering of a glass door in their bedroom that startled the couple awake. At 52 years old, Viola has seen her fair share of dramatic moments, but nothing could’ve prepared her for what happened that night. The burglars had climbed onto the balcony attached to their master bedroom using a ladder. Thankfully, Viola and Julius acted quickly, turning on the lights and effectively scaring the intruders away before they could cause more damage.
This incident took place on Tuesday, April 3, and it’s a chilling reminder that even in the safety of your own home, unexpected dangers can arise. The couple was lucky to have woken up in time and managed to thwart the attempted break-in without any physical harm coming to them.

Who Were These Intruders?
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the attempted break-in at Viola’s home. However, surveillance footage reportedly captured three shadowy figures, dressed in hoodies and gloves, fleeing the scene. It’s unclear whether Viola and Julius’ seven-year-old daughter, Genesis Tennon, was home during the incident. One can only imagine the fear that must have gripped the family during those tense moments.
Are Celebrities Being Targeted?
While California police insist that recent home burglaries aren’t specifically targeting celebrities, the reality is that many stars have become victims of such crimes. Just last year, Kelly Clarkson shared her own harrowing experience of a break-in at her LA residence. Thankfully, she and her family weren’t home at the time. Kelly described the scene as “crazy,” with her house left in shambles after the intrusion. “We got robbed last night. Yeah, it was crazy. We got here and our whole house was, like, bashed in. It was crazy. Other than that, everyone is safe and good,” she recounted.
