During filming, Drew takes her diet seriously, but once the cameras stop rolling, she indulges in life’s pleasures. “When I first started the show, I weighed 145 lbs., and honestly, my life felt like it was falling apart,” Drew admitted. Life can be messy, and for Drew, this period coincided with her recent divorce from husband Will Kopelman.
“I had an idea,” Drew continued. “I approached Victor Fresco, the show’s executive producer, and asked, ‘Can I lose 20 lbs. over the course of the show and change my eyebrows, the height of my shoes, my body language, and attitude? I want to go from someone who’s kind of naïve and unhappy to someone who’s empowered and alive.’ Victor said yes, and that’s how I made that transformation.” It’s a testament to Drew’s determination and creativity.
How Did Drew Achieve Her Weight Loss?
So, how exactly did Drew manage to shed those pounds? “When I’m filming the show, I stick to a vegan diet, barely eat anything, and work out every day,” she revealed. “It’s incredibly healthy, and it creates this euphoric feeling. But once the show wraps, it’s like food poisoning—I feel like I’ll never eat again. And then before you know it, I’m back at it, indulging like there’s no tomorrow. I’m a foodie, and I travel the world for food, so naturally, I gain weight between seasons.” Drew’s honesty is refreshing, and it’s a reminder that it’s okay to enjoy life’s little pleasures.
